BENEFITS OF SPORT
Sport is what everyone needs!
As previously stated sports helps the body in all ways. It improves our cardiovascular system as the heart is a muscle and therefore it needs to work, and by doing physical activity, the heart beats faster and does its exercises as well. Therefore, a healthy heart is able to pump the blood more efficiently into our bodies, improving our general health. Sports also helps our lungs health as there is more physical exercise compared to normal, the body requires more oxygen and therefore more oxygen with carbon monoxide enters the body and waste gasses exit the body. It, therefore, increases the lung capacity and function.
Of course, another benefit of sports is that you meet new people, make new friends, learn from them. Doing sports can also increase confidence as during tournaments or competitions you are performing and showing your skills in front of an audience or judges. It increases your confidence because you are able to show your abilities and what you have worked so hard for.
Sports also help our mind, it helps us to reduce our stress as we are focused on our physical activity and we get distracted from the things we stressed, anxious about. As in fact stated by Electric Island Smarter Living, "Physical exercise reduces the stress hormones in your body and stimulates the release of endorphins. These endorphins may give you more energy and focus for whatever life has" (electric island,2018). Sports build leaders as team sports need a leader, a person where each team member is able and willing to talk to for any reasons and which can help others.
Sports are also able to open a lot of opportunities especially if you are really good at one of them and practice them at agonistical levels you may be offered some business offers and live off your sports wages. Let's think of many sports celebrities such as Ronaldo, Micheal Phelps...
